Craps
is full of action and is also fun to learn. It's one of the fastest table
games there is. In Craps, you bet either with or against the roll of the
dice. The Shooter, or person with the dice, places a bet either on the Win
or Don't Win Lines before he or she throws. For the Come Out Roll if you
are betting with the Shooter, place your bet on the Win Line. If you are
betting against the Shooter, your bet goes on the Don't Win Line. |
| Come
Out Roll: |
The
first roll of the dice by a Shooter before a point is made. |
| Point
: |
One
of the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10. If the Shooter rolls one of these
numbers, to win on the Win Line, the Shooter must roll that number
again before they roll a 7. If you are betting on the Win Line, to
win, you also need the Shooter to roll the point again before they
roll a 7. |
| 7: |
The
easiest number to make with two dice. The game of Craps is based on
this number. |
| Craps:
|
The
call when the sum of the numbers shown on the uppermost face of the
two dice is 2, 3 or 12. |
| Bets
to get you started. |
| Win
Line: |
On the Come
Out Roll, bets placed on the Win Line win immediately if the Shooter
rolls 7 or 11. Bets placed on the Win Line lose immediately if the
Shooter rolls Craps (2, 3 or 12). If the Shooter rolls a point number
(4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) the Shooter must roll that number again to win
before rolling a 7. |
| Don't
Win Line: |
On the Come
Out Roll bets win immediately if the Shooter rolls 3 Crap or 12 Crap.
A Stand Off results if the Shooter rolls 2 Crap. (The bet neither
wins nor loses). Bets lose if the Shooter rolls 7 or 11. If the shooter
rolls a point number, the Bet will lose if the Shooter rolls the point
number again before they roll a 7. The Bet will win if the Shooter
rolls a 7. |
| Come
Bets: |
May be made
any time after a point has been established. A Come Bet is identical
to the Win Line. Bets win on 7 or 11. Bets lose on 2, 3, or 12. If
4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 is thrown, that number becomes the Come Bets point
and wins if that particular number is repeated before a 7. |
| Don't
Come Bets: |
May be made
any time after a point has been established. A Don't Come Bet is identical
to the Don't Win Line. Bets win on 3 and 12 and stand off on 2. Bets
lose on 7 or 11. Any other number becomes the Don't Come Bets point.
Bets lose if the point is thrown before a 7. |
| Place
Bets: |
Place Bets
may be made on the numbered boxes (ie. 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10). Your bet
wins if your number comes up before a 7 is rolled, however they do
not win or lose on the Come Out Roll. The Dealer will help you place
these bets. |
| Hardways:
|
Four of the
six point numbers can be thrown as doubles. These are known as Hardways.
Bets placed on the Hardways win if the number is thrown as a double,
and lose if 7 is thrown, or the number comes the easy way ie. 5 and
3 opposed to 4 and 4. |
| Big
Six: |
This bet may
be placed at any time and wins even money if a six is thrown. Bets
lose if a 7 is thrown. |
| Big
Eight: |
This bet may
be placed at any time and wins even money if an eight is thrown. Bets
lose if a 7 is thrown. |
