Crown Pontoon is the ultimate variation
of Blackjack, with some unique and exciting features. Crown Pontoon provides
great new ways to win and additional Bonus Payouts.
|
Aim of the Game |
Crown
Pontoon is played like Blackjack. You play against the Dealer.
The major difference is that Crown Pontoon is played with decks of 48 cards
with the four tens removed (ie. Ten of Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs and Spades).
As with Blackjack, the Dealer initially deals two cards to each Player and
one card to him/herself. You then have the opportunity to draw extra cards
and improve your total.
To win, generally your total must be greater than the Dealer's total without
exceeding 21.
Like Blackjack, Pontoon is when the first two cards dealt to you are an
Ace and a picture card (King, Queen, Jack).
However, with Crown Pontoon, there are numerous other ways of winning.
|
How to Play |
Place
your bet in one of the betting areas marked on the Crown Pontoon Table.
These are generally referred to as 'Boxes'.
Up to three bets may be placed in one Box. The seated Player controls the
box and decides to draw additional cards, split, double, stand surrender
or forfeit.
The Dealer will call "No More Bets" and then begin to deal by drawing cards
from the Dealing Shoe.
The Dealer deals one card face up to each Box containing a wager and deals
a card to him/herself. A second card is then dealt to each of the Boxes.
Players now have the option of drawing another card, doubling, splitting
or standing.
To indicate to the Dealer that you want another card, tap on the table with
your finger. To indicate that you are standing, signal by using a horizontal
waving motion of the hand over the table.
When all Players have completed their hand, the Dealer will draw his/her
second and subsequent cards and settle all wagers depending on the result.

| Crown Pontoon Terms |
| Split |
When the first
two cards dealt to you are of equal value, you may split these to
operate a maximum of three hands WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ACES. ACES
MAY BE SPLIT TO FORM ONLY TWO HANDS AND RECEIVE ONE ADDITIONAL CARD
TO EACH HAND. If the initial two cards dealt to the Player are suited
7's and the Player splits to form two separate hands, the "Super Bonus"
SHALL NOT be paid on either hand. All other bonuses will be paid with
split hands.
|
| Double |
To place an
additional bet up to an amount equal to the original bet on your first
two cards, the first two cards of any split pair (except when splitting
Aces) or any hand with a point total less than 21 formed with a third
or subsequent card. When you double, you receive only one more card.
Any Ace in the first two cards of any double counts as 1 not 11.
If the Dealer obtains Pontoon after a Player doubles, the Dealer shall
only collect an amount equivalent to the original bet.
If the Player doubles and achieves a total of 21, the Player shall
win on both the original bet and the double bet regardless of the
result of the Dealer's hand. |
| Surrender |
You may take
back half your original bet when the Dealer's first card is a King,
Queen, Jack or Ace. If the Dealer achieves Pontoon, no surrender is
available and you will lose all of your bet. |
